Possibility of a NEW Portuguese Area - and a move!

How are you? All is well for me. My mission is really hard, though i never expected it to be easy. I have learned that the Lord really does ask a lot from me, just as He says will happen in my Patriarchal blessing. I realize I need the spirit now more than ever because i know He requires i be a leader to everyone around me, especially all those i serve with. i really dont know what i should do other than press on in faith, enduring my challenges and being faithful and true to my covenants and my Heavenly Father.

Leaders dont have to be in positions of authority to lead. In fact we're all meant to be leaders, especially as followers of Christ. Leaders lead by example. I love the phrase on that ROTC T-shirt of mine that from the inscription on that Statute in Fort Benning. "Lead, Follow or Get the (heck) out of the way".  That's essencially how leadership should work, we lead the way and come what may. If people follow thats their choice to make but I'll press forward on my way.
Anyhow, yesterday we walked the Freedom Trail from the Capitol to Bunker Hill and even climbed the big Washington monument-like obelisk.  It didnt have an elevator so there was no choice but to climb the nearly 300 steps to the top lol.
I loved getting everyone's mail the other day. It came all at once and so the other elders were kinda awed by it lol.  I definitely plan to make bisquits and gravy this week lol We go shopping tonight so that will be good come tomorrow lol.
So transfers are at the end of this month. Normally I would stay in this area another transfer because I'm being trained, but we've talked with the President, the AP's and the ZL's because this is not in any sense a portugues area. In fact its more spanish, so next transfer, Elder Ponce and I are most likely being moved to a new area, by new i mean brand new. We talked with Pres. Evans on saturday about the situation and Elder. Ponce presented a possible solution that president really liked.
So what most people know as Boston is actually a metropolis of cities including but not limited to Boston, Cambridge, Brighton, Brookline, Dorchester, Sommerville, Roxbury, and so on.  north of the Charleston river is Cambridge, Lynn, Sommerville, and some others. South of it is Boston, Dorchester, south end, roxbury, brighton, and so on.   Well currently, in the boston metropolis there are only 4 portugues missionaries, 2 elders and 2 sisters. the sisters are in cambridge and the elders in sommerville, both attend the same ward and cover the same area which (technically is the whole mission where there are not other portugues missionaries) is actually all of the boston metropolis and then some, extending way north into the area of the city of lynn.  well its impossible for them to go south of the river hardly ever,  firstly its occuppied by spanish missionaries in the boston stake/zone. secondly its not possible, to drive down there.  so Elder Ponce proposed that we open a new portugues area covering in the boston stake, just in the boston metropolis. That area is basically boston south of the river and focusing in the Dorchester, Roxbury, Roslindale area. so like down-down-town boston, in the hood.  seriously., we won't have a car, all public transpo. I'll be the only white boy there lol  so it looks like, according the AP's that we will go there next transfer, unless President is inspired to do something different.  as for framingham it will become a spanish area.
i'm not sure what to think of it all, but its exciting.  doesnt matter to me where i go as long as i get to work.  ive felt that here i havent got to do any real work at all.
anyways im hopeful and optimistic that what little i am trying hard to do will make some kind of impact for someone somewhere.
anyways tonight i'll finish writing my letters to you and mail it in the morning... mail runs really early where i live so its usually hard to get things done before it runs.
i love you all and look forward to hear more from you all, i love hearing all this news from home and i love all the messages yall share with me, cant wait for your letters.
until next time
love aric

Ephesians 6:10-18
 10 Finally, my brethren, be astrong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
 11 Put on the whole aarmour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
 12 For we awrestle not bagainst cflesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the drulers of the edarknessof this world, against spiritual fwickedness in high places.
 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
 14 Stand therefore, having your loins agirt about with btruth, and having on the cbreastplate of drighteousness;
 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of apeace;
 16 Above all, taking the shield of afaith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery bdarts of the wicked.
 17 And take the helmet of asalvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
 18 aPraying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all bperseverance and supplication for all saints;
